For 50 years, KDES AM and FM has been locally owned and operated and has had only 3 owners. George Cameron, who built and owned the station until he passed away in 1970. Joe Tourtelot, and Tourtelot Broadcasting, who purchased the station from the Cameron estate, from 1971 to 1996…
And, currently, Rozene and Ric Supple, who purchased KDES AM and FM from Tourtelot Broadcasting in 1996.
Today, KDES is still the Coachella Valley’s radio station. And home of “The Greatest Hits of the 60’s and 70’s.” We are still dedicated to the community’s of the Coachella Valley. 50 years later, KDES still has the same beliefs and values that George Cameron did in 1956. KDES is your radio station!
